Singing Side by Side for Mental Health

The International Centre for Community Music is hosting an interactive webinar, and they have extended the invitation to anyone with personal experience of mental health conditions, as well as as choir leaders, singers, singing organizations and researchers.

York St. John University has launched a new research project, focusing on singing and mental well-being, and is sharing their findings in the format of an open discussion. The project will explore the experiences, needs and practices of singers and group singing leaders in the context of mental health. The aims are to use research-based evidence to develop a toolkit of information and resources for group singing leaders who are working with people living with diverse mental health conditions; to promote inclusivity in group singing activities; and to help everyone involved to make the most of the wellbeing benefits of singing together.

*Note: This free webinar will be live streaming from the UK, so make a note of your time zone difference. The time set on our calendar event page is set for 9:00 am ET. (2:00 pm in UK)(6:00 am PT)
