Building the Business Case for Mental Health: From Idea to Implementation
Hosted by Thrive in your workplace NYC, this free workshop has been organized for community members to learn about the importance of building a business case for mental health, and how to get started.
Previous research has found that strong leadership support for workplace health promotion programs can enhance employee wellbeing as well as influence the social climate of an organization in creating a culture of health. Now more than ever, we need to pay attention to how our mental health is affected by our work.
Gaining support can be achieved by developing a business case that reflects business priorities and explains the value that a new program will bring to an organization. This workshop will present on the importance of a business case for workplace mental health and guide attendees in crafting a business case for mental health in the context of COVID-19. Facilitators will walk through the key elements of a business case and relevant data for different sectors, explore strategies for motivating workplace mental health transformation, and provide participants a chance to brainstorm common barriers and potential solutions to promoting mental health at work.

understand how journal writing is a therapeutic technique, used to enhance awareness and understanding of your life situations;
learn journal writing exercises as a tool for growth and creativity;
and gain knowledge of journal writing techniques to be used for personal and professional enrichment.
